NEAR KARMAH, Iraq -- NEAR KARMAH, Iraq (July 4, 2007) – The commanding officer and sergeant major of the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit took time to visit the Marines and Sailors of Battalion landing Team 3rd Marines, 1st Marines Regiment and Combat Logistics Battalion 13 for their independence celebration.
Colonel Carl Mundy and Sergeant Maj. Enrique X. Hines spent the day traveling throughout the 13th MEU’s area of operation, talking to Marines, serving chow and flying the American flag.
