130124-M-OH054-278 MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – Lance Cpl. Robert O’Reilly, an automatic gunner with Bravo Company, 1st Battalion 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division and Twenty-nine Palms native, provides suppressing fire during small arms maneuvers as part of Exercise Iron Fist 2013, aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Jan. 24. During Iron Fist 2013, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, 1st Battalion 4th Marine Regiment and the Japan GroundSelf Defense Force will spend three weeks participating in bilateral training to improve their interoperability, enhance military-to-military relations and sharpen skills essential to crisis response.
