Cpl. Jose I. Navarrette a metal worker with Maintenance Detachment, Combat Logistics Battalion 13, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, grinds aluminum off of an amphibious assault vehicle 7's support arm, while performing maintenance aboard USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49) during his 2013 Western Pacific Deployment, Sept. 5. He spent the day shaving and welding aluminum to repair a six foot tear on the underside of an AAV-P7. Marines and Sailors with 13th MEU will deploy for several months in support of theater requirements of Geographic Combatant Commanders. (Official U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
