Lt Col Joseph B. Lagoski, commanding officer of the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, addresses a crowd of citizens gathered to celebrate Anaheim City's annual military banner ceremony. Lagoski was invited by Mayor Tom Tait to be the guest speaker at the ceremony where they unveiled 12 new banners, bringing the total banners in the program to over 90. Each banner is displayed on light posts throughout the city and represents a resident of Anaheim who is serving in the Armed Forces and who is currently deployed or has deployed. An additional highlight from this year's ceremony included the unveiling of the City of Anaheim's official Purple Heart City designation sign.
