Sgt. Erik Sandoval, a motor transport operator with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, carries the 13th MEU guidon aboard Camp Pendleton, Calif., during a sustainment hike to the machine gun range as part of Command Post Exercise 1, May 14, 2015. The exercise served to test the unit's command and control ability as well as satisfy annual training requirements.
