U.S. Sailors with The Boxer Amphibious Ready Group (BOXARG) work together to pull Marines with Maritime Raid Force, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit and their Combat Rubber Raiding Crafts (CRRCs) onto the ship during well deck operations on Oct. 19, 2015, as part of Composite Training Unit (COMPTUEX) Exercise. Each CRRC weighs nearly 300 pounds empty and provides the MEU with amphibious mobility and flexibility when moving from ship-to-ship or ship-to-shore. COMPTUEX provides the BOXARG/ 13th MEU the opportunity to integrate planning while also allowing focused, mission-specific training and evaluation for the Marines and their Navy counterparts.
