U.S. Marines and Sailors with the fire safety crew keep watch over the airfield in case of possible emergency as Marines with Marine Medium Tilt Rotor Squadron 166 Reinforced (VMM-166 (REIN), the air-combat element of the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), work to land and stow aircraft in preparation for the Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX) which simulates a variety of missions as Marines with the 13th MEU Unit continues training for its upcoming tour abroad at sea, Oct. 19, 2015. COMPTUEX provides the MEU ARG the opportunity to integrate naval training while also allowing focused, mission-specific training and evaluation for the Marines and their Navy counterparts.
