PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb. 14, 2016) – U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Phillip Schmierer, a religious program specialist, completes the rite of Holy Communion during a church service aboard the USS New Orleans, At Sea, Feb. 14, 2016. Religious program specialists assist the chaplains in planning and conducting faith services and various programs. More than 4,500 Marines and Sailors with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Boxer Amphibious Ready Group are transiting the Pacific Ocean en route to the Pacific and Central command areas of operations.
