U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Patrick Espinola, a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense specialist with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, I Marine Expeditionary Force, executes a pistol belt drag with Gunnery Sgt. Artur Shvartsberg, the force fitness instructor with the 13th MEU, I MEF, during a unit physical training event at Camp Pendleton Calif., September 6, 2019. The unit conducted various callisthenic exercises which closely replicate the physical exertion of combat to increase their physical readiness. The California based 13th MEU is a scalable, and highly capable Marine Air Ground Task Force, designed to rapidly respond to a wide range of military operations around the globe.
