An Iraqi boy stands in a doorway while Marines from Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, Company F, patrol the streets in front of his house in Hit, Iraq, Dec. 4. Part of the ground combat element of the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable), Fox Company Marines patrolled the streets around-the-clock to make their presence known, and to show the locals of Hit that they were there to protect them. The 13th MEU (SOC) is currently serving in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and the Global War on Terrorism during a Western Pacific deployment.
