The eerie glow of infrared beams through night vision goggles light up the nose of an HMM-163 CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter in the landing zone. With high speed technology dominating planning procedures for the raid, Marines were able to carefully track all elements of the mission through the blanket of darkness.
